Wonderful Stay at a Beautiful Riverside Hotel My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel, and we were thoroughly impressed. Our room was clean, modern, and offered a stunning view of the willow trees and river. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we really enjoyed relaxing on our private balcony. This is a review of the restaurant only. Food - starters included pork belly, calamari, haddock scotch egg, and mushrooms. Pork belly was the stand out dish, well cooked with a spicy slaw that was a good accompaniment. Scotch egg was perfectly cooked, and the mushrooms had a good balance of flavours. Calamari was ok, a little small and chewy. Can't speak for the rooms but as a pub this is fantastic. Lovely on a warm summer afternoon with tons of outdoor seating along the waterway and a decent selection of beers and ciders. If you enjoy a nice fenland pub The Three Pickerels is great.

Come vecchio trasfertista, sono abituato all’idea di pernottare presso note catene alberghiere…. Ma questo ragionamento non vale in UK. Qui le piccole realtà come the three pickerels hanno molto da offrire in più, per molte ragioni: l’attenzione al cliente, la cucina, la generale sensazione di familiarità che si respira. Personalmente adoro the three pickerels e lo consiglio vivamente. Fateci un salto se vi trovate da queste parti!
