There is no way across at the moment due to ongoing work which we were aware of. We did enjoy a walk through the nature reserve to view the castle from across the water though and it didn’t disappoint. Our three year old and two year old seemed to enjoy the route although our nearly one year old was a bit unsettled due to being tired.
A great place for a short walk, 1 to 2 miles. You can't access the castle itself but you get good views of it. The walk has multiple hides for nature watching. We saw ospreys!
Nice little walk
Nice looking castle from afar unfortunately the boats were off the day wee went, lovely surroundings though had a nice walk round.
