Proper filling pub food. Generous portions, reasonable prices and friendly staff. The bar was full of locals discussing village life which is always an excellent sign.
Booked for an evening meal when on holiday with family. There were 11 of us and they put us into our own private room which was nice touch. The staff were all so lovely. Portion sizes are generous and it’s all homemade quality food. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We made room for a few shared desserts which were also delish. We popped in for Sunday Carvery, I had rang before hand and asked if it was still on and with us only being 10 minutes away they said they'd keep it on for us and sorted us a table. Absolutely delicious food, plenty of choice of veg. We had beef as it was the only meat left and it was lovely and melt in the mouth, not tough and chewy at all. What a fabulous place for food and drinks. 4 of us arrived and sat in a beautiful beer garden in the shade as it was so hot. There is a wonderful choice, including pizza. We had 4 good size meals, 4 wines, 2.5 pints of beer. The bill was £77. Couldn't believe how reasonably priced the hotel was. The young lady who served us was lovely. The food was fresh piping hot. Highly recommend.
Amazing food, absolutely loved it. Great friendly service, i would higly reccomend.
