A beautiful, characterful home, in peaceful and picturesque surroundings. The house itself was well equipped, very comfortable and spotlessly clean (not just make-do clean like some others!). There were lots of games (indoor and out) to keep children entertained, and some really nice extra’s, such as picnic equipment, blankets for around the fire pit etc. The surroundings and setting were really stunning where you can feel close to nature in a private setting, without feeling too isolated. We absolutely loved our stay here! The house was perfect for us, very spacious and private, and the beautiful garden was a real treat - our boys really enjoyed the football nets and the fire pit. The enclosed upper garden made life so much easier with our dog and it was glorious seeing the birds and resident pheasant in the morning sun. Saffron and Shelby were so friendly and helpful and really made us feel welcome. 21 - 25 August 2025. We had a family break at The Woodlands House and can describe the experience in one word.... Exceptional. The house if full of character and charm and spotlessly clean with absolutely everything you need. The quality of the bed linen and towels were all superb and the beds so comfy. Very well equipped kitchen and plenty of space.The outdoor area is equally superb and we really loved sitting outside eating our meals or having a glass of wine and just soaking up the view. Had a truly amazing stay. It's hard to capture how great the stay in words. Amazing house, everything you could want (very comfy beds).As hosts Saffron and Shelby are brilliant, they tailor your holiday pack to your interests. Highly recommended, we will be returning. Thanks S & S.
Our family of four along with two dogs stayed at Woodlands for a week in July. The house and grounds are beautiful with lots of space for our dogs to roam. The house has everything you could need for your stay and is very comfortable. Saffron and Shelby were fantastic hosts with nothing being too much trouble. There are numerous local beaches and restaurants to choose from. Overall a great place to stay.
