We stayed here visiting Hull city and The Deep for my birthday and our anniversary. Very reasonably priced and in a great location for everything in Hull. Management were excellent at communicating with us prior to arrival due to the ongoing A63 works and parking situation and information was very clear and accurate. Room was beautiful it a little warm but a fan was provided in the room to help with this and the window opened wide for a good breeze. Came for Sunday lunch. Had Chicken breast and steak and ale pie. Food is perfect, fresh and home cooked, without any cheating or shortcuts from the chef. Lots of extra gravy. We both struggled to finish it all. Real, uncomplicated, traditional deserts. Very well priced. We love this place. The staff are absolutely fantastic. The food was amazing. Food and drinks excellent every time and reasonable prices. It's a great atmosphere in here. Dod friendly pub. We will definitely be back.
Didn't stay in room just came in for a bite to eat and a drink. Bar lady was more then welcoming and shared a laugh over my boyfriend ordering fudge cake for his dinner Fish and chips was perfectly crispy and mushy peas and tartare sauce was beautiful too. Always love visiting this place and a lovely rustic welcoming charm everytime.
