We stopped here en route northwards. It’s convenient on the side of the road. There wasn’t much chicken in the ham, leek and chicken pie and there was some grizzle/fatty bits.

Came in on a Sunday, there was only the Buffet Carvery roast on offer, but that was what we came in for. We hadn’t booked a table, but were lucky to get a table, but we were early in the evening, at 5pm. I would recommend booking a table if you are planning ahead As I cook myself, I did find their prices expensive, as you only get a small bit of meat, the rest vegetables! But that is the way prices are going. I would come back here, so a good recommendation.

Had a bad dining experience before but thought we'd give it a second chance for a birthday, and a fair amount of time had passed. We odered 2 Buddha bowls, £16 each, 1 was being shared so we ordered a few extras. When the food came, the one with the extras was actually a smaller portion (so not with getting the extras) and was basically non seasoned value rice, no flavour. We only stopped for a meal on our way home from a holiday in the West Country so can only comment on the food and service. No complains, pleasant staff and the food was lovely
