We had a very mixed experience with the wedding shop: Pros: The townhouse is a lot of fun to visit and we had a great time putting together our list. The gift guides were very helpful and the website was easy to navigate. The wedding shop being able to store our gifts as they arrived was great and being able to book one big delivery day after the wedding was fantastic. Easy to use site
-- Taking advantage -- The Wedding Shop is, like so many wedding-related outfits, keen to take advantage and over-charging. In particular, they charge every purchaser £3.99 for postage, when in truth they deliver all the gifts as one lot. By the time you have added £2.99 for a gift card and £4.99 on wrapping, every purchase has just under £11 added to its cost - and of course you cannot just go to Amazon because then your purchase is not ticked off the list. Couples - please don't do this to your friends and family!
Married in 2022 with high expectations due to how well they sold the service to us. Although the sales reps are very nice and helpful, the product itself is terrible: 1. We were told that if they sold a certain brand, but could not find our desired product on the site, that we could ask for it to be ordered. When asking for several products from brands that we liked, they tell you that "that one specifically is not available". This has been the case for every product we have wanted. 2.
