My room, room 8 was disappointing. Parts of it were grubby , the kettle had dirt stuck to it, the bottom of the wardrobe was thick with dust, the throw at the end of the bed had dirty marks on it as did the base of the bed. It had tea stains on the mattress cover. I discussed this with staff and as there were no spare rooms i got a refund and left. We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and we had the best time! I think we were given an upgrade for the occasion, which we really appreciated! The room was lovely and quiet with a beautiful view of the fields outside of town. The bed was massive and so comfortable. The receptionist that checked us in was welcoming and friendly. The breakfast staff were attentive. Over our stay, we had the Eggs Florentine, the Vegetarian Breakfast, Kippers and Eggs Royale and we enjoyed them all.
