Pictures are misleading. Very ordinary pub with no food or breakfast offered. Parking was fine and the room was clean, but the whole place feels dated. Overall, too expensive for what you get.
Great old fashioned pub with good beer
The best, most authentic pub in Durham. Spectacular every time.
A super friendly pub (and hotel) a short walk from Durham centre. A CAMRA National Inventory interior and Beer Guide Regular. First ever visit. Alic made friends with a couple from Bradford. Booth spent time with locals in the front bar. Five real ales and a real cider. I had the Allendale Best Bitter, a lovely 3.8% beer. Three rooms wrap around the central bar. Some lovely Toby Jugs on display, once found in most English pubs.
