My mom retired from MD Anderson in 2000 after 20 plus years there in the nursing dept and research. Yesterday my mom was a patient there, she was diagnosed with ocular melanoma and had her eye removed. I have never been in a hospital where EVERY person we had contact with showed love, care, compassion, understanding and patience for us not just my mom but all of the family. The doctors were kind and patient explaining everything over and over again until we were comfortable. The nurses were amazing, light hearted and laughin... read more
It's truly hard to put into words the MD Anderson experience ❤️
I have such a wonderful team at the MD Anderson. Dr JIMENEZ, Research Nurse Madonna and the rest of the staff are all awesome!! I have been traveling from Wisconsin to Houston for a little over a year for treatment and it's been an amazing journey. Very grateful for this experience.

I'm a 65 year old 4th grade teacher who had been up since 5 am, just done Valentines Day w/ 20 kids, and am still taking an antibiotic for bronchitis and a sinus infection that turned into the flu. I was exhausted. As soon as I walke... read more
