A pub with a name of a famous explorer who lived in the area. Small interior with a terrace open in summer. Varied seating. Good selection of cask and keg ales and beers. Wines equally good. Food is predominantly pub burger type type food. Very friendly staff.
Great place to stay - rooms were modern and clean and had everything we needed. The staff were very accommodating and service was excellent. A full cooked breakfast menu was the icing on the cake for our one night stay!
Best pub in Barmouth. I didn't even realise it had accommodation, otherwise I would have stayed here. Great beers, an outside space you can smoke in but you don't feel like you are outside, fully covered with benches, great decor, great service and friendly & very helpful staff. Muchas gracias
A nice pub, clean and in the town centre. Good selection of drinks on sale too
