Terrible maintenance response. My son’s bedroom key isn’t working so he has been locked out of his bedroom for hours and maintenance says it will be several more hours before they can be there to give him access to his room and his belongings. What’s the point of having maintenance on call and then they’re not available in an emergency. Just another in a long list of maintenance complaints over the last two years. RecommendedI've lived in two other apartment complexes in the area and none of them compare to The Thompson. The staff is super friendly, maintenance is quick to work orders, and they always have fun events in the clubhouse. 12/10 would recommend!!
Just finished touring the Thompson with my daughter and we were very impressed. Roomy common living area and bedrooms, huge closets, beautiful pool and pet areas...and Chelsea was the friendliest tour guide. Sadly we won’t be able to choose to stay as only 4 bedrooms are available and my daughter’s group only needs 3. They were offered a random roommate assignment, but why throw a possible wrench into a good cohesive group when not necessary...too many choices out there. The Thompson is really a great place to live. It’s a very beautiful complex with very nice staff. Everything has been great since living here. Really recommend because they’re pet friendly, they do not tow, and it’s a great price.
I’ve had a really great experience living at the Thomson for 2 years now. Maintenance and staff is always willing to go above and beyond to satisfy any requests!
I loved this place from the moment I walked in. Immediately I felt at home!! I am so excited to stay my new life living here!! Everything was clean and well kept. I can’t wait to move in!!
I love living at the Thompson and highly recommend it! The staff is very friendly and really take the time to know each resident. I have had no problems since moving in and it has been my favorite place to live since I moved to San Marcos. Plus if you have a pet, this is the perfect place for you!

I absolutely LOVE The Thompson! As a senior at Texas State, I can definitely say this has by far been my favorite place to live. I wish I had moved here sooner! The management is awesome and you can tell that they actually care about their residents. Maintenance is super friendly and always quick to respond. Overall a great apartment complex, I highly recommend The Thompson!!
