This popular restaurant looks like something straight out of a western movie. The barn-like exterior and wooden floors add the perfect touch of rusticity. A live band plays out back on Friday and Saturdays. Put on your boots and get ready for some two-stepping. Bring your appetite and sample all the Texas barbecue you can handle. The brisket, chicken and ribs are superb but save a little room for some blackberry or peach cobbler. It just might be the best this side of the Mississippi River.

Big shout out to Steve Onstad and staff last night. The food and attention to detail were above and beyond. The red white and blue jean bash was a success.
It is the best place to eat BBQ in Richmond, Rosenberg, Tx. I visit this BBQ place every time I am in the area. Service is excellent along with the portion size. More than you can eat in one sitting.

This is without a doubt the best BBQ I have ever had. You just can't beat Pecan to put such a great tasting smoke line in the meats. Sauce is made to compliment the taste and the sides are great as well. My first time was over 25 years ago & still order the super combo, 3 meats/3 sides!
I've been enjoying the food and atmosphere at The Swinging Door for the past 20 years, and the only bad thing I can say about the place is that it's snot open on Monday or Tuesday. The food is fantastic, the staff are all super friendly and anytime a friend comes into town it's always our first good time! It's a true blue, come as you are and leave happy Texan landmark. Do it!!

The Swinging Door has some of the most tender and tasty BBQ I have ever had and the BBQ sauce just puts their food over the top. The green beans and ranch beans made me feel like I was eating by a night camp fire. You can not go wrong with this family friendly BBQ restaurant. The smell alone is worth the trip of going to eat there and the service is fast and friendly. Semper Fi
