This popular restaurant looks like something straight out of a western movie. The barn-like exterior and wooden floors add the perfect touch of rusticity. A live band plays out back on Friday and Saturdays. Put on your boots and get ready for some two-stepping. Bring your appetite and sample all the Texas barbecue you can handle. The brisket, chicken and ribs are superb but save a little room for some blackberry or peach cobbler. It just might be the best this side of the Mississippi River.

Best Bread pudding ever! Its to die for! Food was so mouth watering and service was outstanding!

They provided meat for husband's 50th birthday party! Was a little nervous at first, as first time using them, but I must say the entire experience was wonderful. Staff were extremely pleasant over the phone, meat and condiments were ready for pick up at the scheduled time, and most importantly the meat was DELICIOUS!! Would definitely use them again for any event, as well as just stop by for regular meal! Thanks for making my husband's party a success! 😁

Delicious food, friendly service. I did learn to order my brisket “wet” and/or ask for the heal (at least to dievify I don’t want it lean). Last time I was there I didn’t and the brisket was too lean for my likings. I wish they’d add that to their menu (the choices of how to order the brisket)... I think they usually serve it lean, but sometimes that’s too dry for me. It would be nice if they added that “choice” or terminology to their menu so customers would know it’s a possibility. Haven’t been to the Swinging Door in years. Decided to go this past weekend and it was great! The ribs were enormous and delicious. Service was good too. Will have to return again, sooner than later.

Been there several times with no issues but yesterday was a different story. The plates had a film that I could remove with my fingers. I asked for another set of plates and had the same issue. When I asked the waitress for a third set she was upset that I asked again for clean plates.

Ribs were outstanding!! Also tried the Turkey and Sausage which were each very good as well. Classic place/decor and no frills; Food does the talking for itself! Worth the drive out! The homemade bread pudding and bourbon sauce is hard to beat as well!
