This popular restaurant looks like something straight out of a western movie. The barn-like exterior and wooden floors add the perfect touch of rusticity. A live band plays out back on Friday and Saturdays. Put on your boots and get ready for some two-stepping. Bring your appetite and sample all the Texas barbecue you can handle. The brisket, chicken and ribs are superb but save a little room for some blackberry or peach cobbler. It just might be the best this side of the Mississippi River.

Moving to Texas for 15 years ago, I thought BBQ couldn't get any better...enter The Swinging Door. The best BBQ in the Houston area. They sometimes get a little behind due to the traffic but it is worth the wait. A must for Texas BBQ.

Swinging Door is a Pecan smoked BBQ restaurant. The Pecan wood gives the meat a unique flavor. Other smoke houses use Hickory. We tried the Swinging Door 40 yrs ago and keep on going back. We have had birthday's, anniversaries, and reunions there and have never been disappointed. Thank you SD for always staying the same great place.

I love it here! The food is delicious and the service is great. They also have a dance hall which we're renting out for our wedding reception. I'm so excited! Can't wait to show off this great food with my family!
Has been years since we were there, due to moving out of state. However, the restaurant has not changed at all! Of course, it has the best BBQ around this part of the country. Had a hoot of a waitress, Kim, made the visit even better.
