Great food. Lovely traditional pub with garden. Is far better than first glance might suggest. Try it!

This is a great place to eat, drink and stay. Louis, the barman is exceptional. How refreshing to have someone serving you who clearly loves his job. Polite, enthusiastic, efficient and a real pleasure to be served by.
Wow, what a venue! Service was simply outstanding - Food absolutely wonderful! Lovely to find a place where our two dogs were met with a friendly! greeting by staff.
Location of place is lovely, perfectly positioned nearby other hotels, restaurants and bars. Rye itself is wonderful and homely too. On the contrary the service was sub par. Very slow wait for only a two person meal. Whilst the waiter’s were kind the wait is a big let down. The meal itself however was tasteful, with some of the best chips I’ve had, great pastry on the pie and delectable miso butter and scallops. Fairly expensive and a slow wait so I wouldn’t come again
