Was looking around for somewhere to go for a meal, and remembered seeing the Staff of Life featured in the Derby Telegraph a while back. I sent a request for a table late on Thursday evening and received a response at about 7am the next day confirming my reservation. Tuesday 26th August 2025 This pub is a great propper unspoilt real ale pub the locals today were superb and the stoke fans in here depict what football is all about The real ale is brilliant and it is a pub that must be visited when in Stoke
There is something really special about this place and despite my brief stay, everything about it is just incredibly comforting. Set in a beautiful rural location, the Inn is cosy and welcoming with a lovely selection of food. The rooms are kept to a high standard, impeccably clean and spacious. The staff are friendly and attentive, all in all just a fantastic hotel .
Great restaurant, had a really nice salmon Wellington. Staff and locals very welcoming and friendly. Place has a nice atmosphere. Very clean with excellent amenities. Enjoyable experience.
