Superb location but management have given up, rooms are absolutely filthy! We felt insulted that that think people would want to stay there. See my pictures. The worst breakfast, fried egg swimming in oil with a funny taste, sausage almost with a green tinge. Tried scrambled egg the next day and it was a solid round disc of over cooked egg you could pick up like a coaster.
Stopped for lunch, food was crap.
Staff were great. Breakfast excellent. Room a little tired needs some work done but overall not a bad experience
The pub itself is a bit tired and dated. Found the staff to be pleasant, but not the most customer experience focused. The beef was a bit tough, the chicken was a bit dry, 2 tiny roast potatoes and I've never had a more disappointing Yorkshire pudding. Guinness came out a bit stale tasting.
