Lovely place to stay. We stayed in a family room. The beds were really comfortable and the bathroom was massive! The staff were friendly, polite and cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious; we had the full Scottish cooked breakfast and it was really tasty. Gatehouse of Fleet is a beautiful place to stay - we had a couple of strolls whilst we were there and enjoyed the views, the swan pond and the friendliness of the people we encountered. We would definitely stay again.
Incredibly friendly staff and excellent food! Our room was a twin on the top floor. Despite the storm raging on outside, we had a relaxing sleep in our comfortable beds. Much better than our previous nights' stay at Cally Palace!
Great place to stay & all the staff were extremely helpful
This was our forth visit to this hotel. Love it. Staff are friendly and welcoming, rooms are clean, well appointed. Food is great. Never had a complaint. Also, very dog friendly, a real bonus. Well placed for visiting the area around, and Gatehouse is a nice little town too. We will be back in 2026.
Having done no research of the town, hotel or the restaurant we were thrilled on arrival with our room, the service and especially the food. A really nice stay with a modern room, a very good shower and a friendly vibe. We arrived a little later than expected so we were late for booking a table which we were initially told they could not accommodate due to an event happening in the town, however they managed to squeeze us in later on in the evening and they did not disappoint.
