A lovely, comfortable hotel in a lovely village, perfectly placed for exploring the beautiful countryside and coast nearby. We brought bikes and it was great to be able to lock them away in the hotel's bike store. The food in the restaurant was consistently excellent (but not cheap) and service was friendly and efficient. This is also a great location for EV drivers as there are multiple charging points a couple of minutes walk away in the village car park, as well two outside the hotel.

Lovely clean room with a nice selection of teas and biscuits, loved the big bathroom and tub too. Great central location with a short walk to places where I could walk the dog. Good breakfast selection and friendly staff.

The service was good, attentive without intrusion. The food however was mediocre. Given the reputation we expected better than average pub grub which filled a hole, but didn't excite. I've also never had the experience of being told the soup of the day only to have a completely different soup being brought out, fully plated. I would have expected the staff to check that we were happy with the different dish before bringing it to the table rather than just presenting it. Room was clean and tidy, shower was nice and powerful. Food was really good
