It's a surprisingly good hotel. Booked one night as we were in town for a gig. Everything was as clean and tidy. Staff were excellent, friendly, and helpful. We ate in the bar, really great good (arguably the theakstens beer was on the turn). We had a final drink in the bar before turning in. It was busy but not packed, and a young girl singer provided entertainment, she was very good
Greeted with a smile by every member of staff. Sunday lunch carvery - superb and busy. Waiter went out of his way to bid us farewell. Will certainly be returning. Visit 2, ten months later. Absolutely top notch carvery. Staff again all very friendly. The best carvery I've had for a long time.
