Our experience at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was unworthy of its Michelin distinction and was distasteful. We have travelled extensively in Europe stayed and dined at numerous Michelin and Relais & Chateau establishments. Our experience at the Olive ranked at the bottom. We stayed at Queensberry and made reservations for 4 via email for 8 pm on August 28, 2025 but there was no acknowledgment/confirmation prior to our arrival. Before booking, I specifically asked if the green master deluxe room was available on the specified date. They confirmed this in writing (via email) and reserved the room for me. Upon arriving a few days later, I was given a completely different room. The room I booked was taken. This wasn’t what I paid for. They offered me a free drink as an apology for miscommunication among their team, but when you’ve paid £200+ for a one-night stay, this doesn’t really cut it. I am now requesting a full refund.
We loved this hotel. It's up the hill from the city center on a quiet street. The rooms are fantastic, as is the breakfast and the little bar with various sitting areas. We didn't eat dinner at the restaurant as we had two kids and it seemed a bit fancy for the whole family, but it was hopping every night (and based on the breakfast, I bet the dinner is great). We had an amazing 20th wedding anniversary at the Queensberry in Bath. The location is excellent with the Circus, the Crescent and the city centre all within 10 minutes walk. The service was exceptional and the staff were all wonderful to us. We only had breakfast in the Olive Tree restaurant (which was delicious) but the taster menu for dinner looked fantastic.
