First of many visits last night, bar staff were brilliant and recommending Gins, a bit shout out to Harriet who was obviously very busy but looked after us very well. Looking forward to our next visit in this cosy welcoming pub. :)
Lovely staff super friendly and amazing setting. What a shame it was let down by the chef! Prawn pil pil starter. 4 prawns swimming in what tasted like a vegetable oil. No where near enough garlic or chilli. Bland and unpleasant. No where close to the spanish classic. Luckily not gone off- chicken curry very underwhelming- charlie brighams out of a box tastes better in my honest opinion. Fish and chips - fish stunk of ammonia and was totally gone off. Amazing place. Will be stopping there again. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. The price was really good and the service was spot on.
It took 35 min of waiting for the nibbles and main food due to being extremely busy, and same thing happened with the dessert, apparently there was a problem with the till. The quality of the food was amazing and the pub is very beautiful and with a good atmosphere, very dog friendly too. If they had had more staff on the day the review would have been 5 stars :)
