Do not let them make money off these animals pain Staff was fine when I was buying hamster. Saying she was not in good mood because she got woke up. She was very touchy but thought it was because she wasn't used to people. They didn't want us to take time to look at her just put her in box. Brought her home and she was making horrible noises. HORRIBLE PLACE If it wasn't required I'd give this place no stars at all. I bought my puppy here $1235.00 and I was not informed that it had a genetic defect. One of the males testicles will not decend which the vet said will not could will cause cancer. Also there was smaller things that the so called breeder should have done for the puppy. Nothing but thieves and liers I have recently puchaced a puppy from these people. I originaly bought a cocer spaniel. I was buying this dog for my family expecially my two small children. Before buying the puppy we had a lot of questions. My main concern was if this dog would be good for my children. The staff assured me that this puppy and breed would be great. so we bought her. I BOUGHT A DOG I have to say that my experience with Pet Warehouse was pleasant for the most part. When we inquired about the papers of the puppy one of the employees was very hateful. She didn't even check to se if they were in she just said to wait two months. Well we said we were told 6 weeks. She proceeded to say "It was in your paperwork when you bought the dog,it takes 2months!". As far as the puppies overall health, it is in excellent condition. No worms whatsoever!
Sick Puppy My husband and I recently bought a puppy from this establishment. I was skeptical at first because our first dog was purchased from a reputable breeder who warned us about pet store purchases, but we were assured these dogs were also from local breeders and not puppy mills and were very well taken care of. Works for me Pet Warehouse is good to me. But I'm only buying snake food from them. The only kind of animals I would buy as pets from ANY pet store is fish. You people that are buying dogs, cats, and other pets there (or any pet store) are asking for trouble anyway. A dog is or at least should be a long term companion for u and ur family. Pet Warehouse not recommended for small animals. I dont recommend the Pet Warehouse for purchasing small animals. I purchased an adorable baby female guinea pig three weeks ago and it died three days ago. Im a previous cavy owner and took exceptional care of the critter and she turned out to be very sick and died. I researched and turns out she was sick before we purchased her. Wonderful place ,exceptional people I live in Wilmington, which is about an hour from Jacksonville. I Own large Exotic birds and find it difficult to find toys of the appropriate size for my birds at any local pet store. Pet Warehouse is crap well we got totally screwed 11/15/09 we bought a snozer/poodle mix that was supose to be registered and turns out it wasnt. the dog is very highper and has bit my daughter on two ocassions even though we were told she would be great with our 4 children . also we live on base so the dogs have to be up to date on there shots when i took her to the vet we were told she wasnt and did not have her temerment shots i called the pet store and was told she had her first one and i bought her two days before she w... read more
