TPW I have been going in and out of this store since 2004. I purchased our first pet from the place. I was lucky to have bought a dog that was bred by one of the store personnel. Nothing but thieves and liers I have recently puchaced a puppy from these people. I originaly bought a cocer spaniel. I was buying this dog for my family expecially my two small children. Before buying the puppy we had a lot of questions. My main concern was if this dog would be good for my children. The staff assured me that this puppy and breed would be great. so we bought her. a satisfied customer This store has very polite and helpful employees. I have a ferret that I bought from them almost 4 years ago. I have been taking her there almost weekly to have her nails trimmed. They don't require me to make an appointment to do it, and it doesn't matter when I get there, as long as I get there before it closes at night. dont buy here!!!! i recently bought a pet from pet wear house and about ten to twenty day's after i got my pet i took her to the vet for a checkup. well to make the story short, the vet said that she had mites... i asked how long she had them... the vet said about a month to a month and a half.. that means that she had them before i got her. oh and every time i went to this store there cats pens were so dirty you just didn't want to touch them .... and they smelled so bad...AGAIN DON'T SHOP HERE!!!!
Terrible After I read a few of these other reviews, I can't understand how these people are still in business, seriously?! We should do something to get them shut down.here's my experience with this place:We got a kitten here back in October. I couldn't believe the way it was there, anyone could just open the kitten cages (which are basically just bird cages all wire with no where soft for them to stand) and handle all the kittens. I had a good experience I bought my beagle here about a month ago. She is healthy, active, and very sweet. She's been hard to potty train, but that's a beagle for you. She was not overpriced, but some of the puppies there are. I wouldn't just go by these comments to decide if you want to shop here; if I did then I wouldn't have my sweet puppy (whom is barking at me as I type this). Diseased Pets and Disrespect I bought a mini-rex rabbit from them and it was a horrible experiance. He seemed fine at first but then suddenly fell ill and started to have seizures and couldn't stand up. He died at the pet store when we tried to take him back. They said they couldnt do anything for us but give us half off on another bunny. Then they accused us of not watering the bunny properly and said he was dehydrated when I watched him drink water all day. Do your homework I uesd to work for Pet Warehouse in Jacksonville,it was for only 6 months. My advice to any one wanting to purchase a pet for their family is to do your homework on the breed, be sure (if it is a puppy) that the breed is tolerant with small children. The best thing to do is adopt from your local humane society, those animals need loving homes. If wanting to buy, do your homework on reputable breeders. Simply a "warehouse" 16 years I have gone to Pet Warehouse to purchase "food" I have always stopped to play with the kittens and found their cages to be clean but I NEVER go near the puppies if I can help it. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see how awful these poor things look and the place stinks to high heaven.
