Very Knowledeable about Salt water. I first started my salt water tank on a whim, and with the Pet warehouse's knowledgeable team I was able to go from a small ten galleon salt tank to a 25 gallon to a 55 gallon. Thanks to Chuck and his team in the fish department even though we have moved all over the place! Including Texas where we are now stationed. I still call them for advice on anything Saltwater. Led to Believe something else Where do I begin. About a year ago I bought a puppy from Pet Warehouse. When I went back 60 days later to get the paper work to mail off for the whole AKC registry no problem. A few months ago we decided to buy another puppy from them. Illegality Is it against the law for this pet store to buy a litter of pup's found on a fencing construction site? I happen to know the person who brings puppies he finds to the Pet Warehouse in Jacksonville, NC. He gets paid peanuts for the puppies and then they are sold for much more. If this is against the law I will surely give out the name of the person bringing the litters in.
Terrible After I read a few of these other reviews, I can't understand how these people are still in business, seriously?! We should do something to get them shut down.here's my experience with this place:We got a kitten here back in October. I couldn't believe the way it was there, anyone could just open the kitten cages (which are basically just bird cages all wire with no where soft for them to stand) and handle all the kittens. I had a good experience I bought my beagle here about a month ago. She is healthy, active, and very sweet. She's been hard to potty train, but that's a beagle for you. She was not overpriced, but some of the puppies there are. I wouldn't just go by these comments to decide if you want to shop here; if I did then I wouldn't have my sweet puppy (whom is barking at me as I type this). Diseased Pets and Disrespect I bought a mini-rex rabbit from them and it was a horrible experiance. He seemed fine at first but then suddenly fell ill and started to have seizures and couldn't stand up. He died at the pet store when we tried to take him back. They said they couldnt do anything for us but give us half off on another bunny. Then they accused us of not watering the bunny properly and said he was dehydrated when I watched him drink water all day. Do your homework I uesd to work for Pet Warehouse in Jacksonville,it was for only 6 months. My advice to any one wanting to purchase a pet for their family is to do your homework on the breed, be sure (if it is a puppy) that the breed is tolerant with small children. The best thing to do is adopt from your local humane society, those animals need loving homes. If wanting to buy, do your homework on reputable breeders. DO NOT BUY FROM THE PET WAREHOUSE This place has such bad customer service, the pets are sick, not taken care of properly. It take soo long to get papers for your puppy if you are lucky to get them at all. It is just one big hassle!
Cute animals, horrible employees. This store would be so much better if the employees weren't so horrible. Maybe all of them aren't bad but from what I've seen they are. Last time I was there, one of the employees was cleaning the puppy cages, she would leave the puppy's in the cage while she lifted up the floor grate. The puppy's would have to cling on to it and be squished against the wall. She was so nasty to the puppies and just threw them around like they were dolls.
