dont buy here!!!! i recently bought a pet from pet wear house and about ten to twenty day's after i got my pet i took her to the vet for a checkup. well to make the story short, the vet said that she had mites... i asked how long she had them... the vet said about a month to a month and a half.. that means that she had them before i got her. oh and every time i went to this store there cats pens were so dirty you just didn't want to touch them .... and they smelled so bad...AGAIN DON'T SHOP HERE!!!!
Not a dime of my money! I visited the Pet Warehouse and talked extensively to the manager about the way his dogs were obtained. He assured me that they didn't come from puppy mills but from local breeders. Do people not realize backyard breeders are just as dangerous as the large puppy mills? REPUTABLE breeders DO NOT sell to pet stores. It's a known fact. Until people educate themselves, animal negliect and abuse will continue. They lied to me. After reading all these horrible reviews, I consider myself lucky. I bought my Dachshund from the pet warehouse in Jacksonville, NC and they told my he was a mini dachshund (witch is suppose to only weigh 10pounds.) He is now 9 months and weighs 15 pounds. *no im not over feeding him! atleast he is a health puppy.
unprofessional and dirty this is the worst pet shop i've ever been to, but due to lack of option they are the only available to date for feeders. the slanderous unprofessional staff is iladvised and uneducated in exotics and gurus, dogs are over priced and normally sick, fish are lacking and barely last. I cannot understand why they hire kids, ex junkys and poorly groomed people with bad attitudes to work around animals much less people. I cannot wait for a real pet shop to open in this area
Don't shop here!!!!!!! I went to the pet warehouse on 10-13-07 with my daughter. She had seen a little shih tzu and wanted me to see her. The puppy was very skinny, and she had no teeth. I told the worker the puppy had no teeth and how was she eating hard dog food? The employee said she was eating fine. I wasn't going to get the puppy, but on my way home I felt like if I didn't purchase the dog it would starve to death. This was Sat. night at 8:45, I turned around and went back to the pet store. Great Store I don't understand all the negativity. My husband and I bought a Golden from this place about 6 months ago and we paid 600 for her. She is amazing!! The staff has its moments but what place doesn't? And considering individuals who have no intentions of buying an animal are always harassing the animals and letting their children play with them I would be pretty pissed too. ITS NOT A PETTING ZOO!! lied to, and a sick pup I bought a puppy there about a year and half ago and was told she was a pit bull, when i went to purchase her one of the ladies at the counter said "oh the pit mix" and was hushed by the other lady working there saying no its a pure pit, looking at the puppy you could tell she was mixed but i fell in love with her anyway, they couldnt have just told me the truth they were so rude, on the same day my friend bought a puppy too and within weeks found out the poor guy was extremely sick and had to be put ... read more
Not a Great Place I have lived here for 11 years and have gone many times to pet warehouse. Depending on the worker and the day depends on your experience. The fish people seem pretty knowledgable, but the fish are way overpriced, and you have a 0-7 day warranty on them. You can go right across the street to PetSmart and pay 1/2 the price for a 2 week warranty- no questions asked. Unforunetly they don't sell saltwater fish over there. A Wonderful Place I don't know what is wrong with all you people leaving negative comments. My mother has been the main manager at this store for 12 years now, and I've worked there myself. Yeah, the owner may like money, but you know what, it's a private business, not a franchise so it's not like he can make money off of selling you people stuff for really cheap.
