This lovely little pub has become my go to destination when narrow boating. The locality has various pubs close by, but non of them can match the Old Peculiar. The food is simply outstanding and homecooked, the beer selection tops anything else nearby, but best of all the staff and locals are so friendly. The pie nights were pure bliss and i'm planning on making a return when they are back on again, hands down best homemade pies i've ever eaten. Lovely Sunday lunch and great to see a village pub bustling with locals supporting the community. Beef was huge! How on earth people manage three courses…note to self if coming again an elasticated waistband is essential to take full advantage of the varied and delicious menu.
Great staff, food and beer. Really worth going a visit. Homemade pastry on the sumptuous beef pie.
Tasty food at a reasonable price, good atmosphere and friendly staff. We will visit again.
