GOOD FOR POPCORN SHRIMP – I am single so I dine out a lot so: Extremely poor service waiter did not know what his menu. Quality of food average for a so called great seafood restraurant there are better choices. For 75 dollars for lunch I expected more than the cheapes frozen POPCORN SHRIMP with lettuce....price nearly 10 dollars They must think the customer is stupid. Ambience is good so it has potential but there are easily better choices for seafood in INDY or Chicago
Magnificent – What a lovely restaurant! First of all, you walk in and are greeted by the beautiful art deco-ish decor in pleasing blues and silvers. The food is incredibly fresh and flown in daily so the selections may change. The seafood tower appetizer is scrumptious, including a whole lobster, oysters, shrimp, crablegs, etc. I prefer to choose my own fish and have it made how I like it rather than their preset entrees with their various sauces, which I find less tasty. Southern Girl HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! – My husband & I loved this resturant. We are from the south & love going to New Orleans especially for the fresh Seafood. We were in Indy for a long weekend & were craving some good seafood. We did find the place to fulfill our taste. Very Romantic and if ever back in Indy will for sure go back......Highly Highly Recommended worth every penny. OH BTW Great Martini's:-)
Great Times!!! – Living on the west coast for most of my life I have come to love seafood. Oceanaire does it verrrry well. Fresh fish, big portions and a great wine list. The service I have received has not been matched here in Indianapolis and I can say seldom any where else I have dined. I am pleased to see that a great seafood restaurant has landed in Indy. I will be back.
Excellent food and dining experience in Indy! – Last night my husband and I had a wonderful time celebrating my birhday at The Oceanaire. We are new to Indianapolis and this restaurant caming highly recommended. Great food, great atmosphere, great service. The flaming dessert was delicious too! It was worth every penny!
RUDE!! – I just called for reservations and the person at the restaurant was very rude to me. If you get bad service calling for reservations, I can't imagine what the restaurant would be like. I will not spend my money at any place that treats me like a burden.
DA – WOW! The Oceanaire Seafood Room is a welcome addition to downtown Indy. Talk about FRESH! This is the place to come for seafood. The variety is amazing. From the swanky decor to the professional, attentive servers, The Oceanaire has it all. We were blown away. My family is already asking to go back. We were impressed when the chef stopped by our table just to see how our meal was going. I can't say enough good things about our experience.
PHENOMENAL! – I must admit when Oceanaire first opened I thought it would be another upscale chain rolling into town with lots of money and attitude and little else. After much cajoling from some "foodie" friends I finally deigned to give them a try, and now I'm kicking myself for not going sooner. The Best – If you want to make an impression, this is the place to take your boss, wife, girlfriend, etcetera. The food is OUTSTANDING, from the huge appetizer of a medly of seafoods, to the wine, the main dish (if you have never had fresh seafood, you'll learn the difference here,) and of course - the desserts - I recommend the carmel smothered brownie (for two.) THIS IS NOT RED LOBSTER!
