Unimpressive to say the least – Boy, this place sucked out loud. My husband ordered the cobb salad. Yech. It was really a chopped salad with all the ingredients of a cobb salad in piles. It included cold sliced potato?!?! When my husband got home he broke out in hives. Not fresh shrimp....frozen like the stuff you buy in bags. Yech. I had a salad duet. Not Impressed – I was so excited to see that this restaurant was on the Midtown Restaurant Week. I had always wanted to try it. I should have kept wanting to try it. This was some of the worse food I ever tasted. First of all they served you kids size portion (I guess they thought $35.00 wasn't enough for a real meal). Impossible not to like this food – I have never tasted better seafood anywhere, and we have been all over the world. Hands down, the best ever. We don't come here often because it's just too expensive for us, but when we want to treat ourselves, we make a trip over and go for it! San Diego is really coming along with great places to eat.
Best Crab Cake in the world! – Oh no, I can't believe it...why did they have to take something so great and ruin it... Well folks, the home of the best crab cake has been sold. That's right, Landry's has purchased the Oceanaire chain - and food quality, portion size and staff happiness has dramatically decreased. Not bad – I went to eat here for a dinner because my boyfriend and I had been super curious about the place. He's not a seafood lover, but he managed to find himself a good meal, which was a steak. The host was okay. she wasn't smiling, or anything and she looked bored doing her job. Our server was nice, but he did forget some of our drinks and food that we told him to get three times in a row. WHAT A GREAT SPOT – About 12 of us were "stuck" in The Westin Galleria and really didn't want "mall food" on a Saturday night. We called around and no one would take a big party. SOmeone said, "what about that fish place downstairs?" No reservations, all twelve of us stumbled in. THey set up to six tops side by side and we had an absolute blast. Wine list was perfect. superb seafood and service – having been to many seafood resturants in Norhtern and Southern California, I find this place to have maybe the best food, great service, and a friendly atmospher. the best.
Love this restaurant – This is my absolute favorite restaurant. My boyfriend and I went here for Valentine's Day. The restaurant had formulated a very special menu for the occasion. Each course left us speechless. Everything from the bread, salads, and soups to the fish, meats, and desserts was absolutely phenomenal.
