This place is incredible. Run mostly by dedicated young chaps. All of the science experiment exhibits worked, including the outdoor ones. So much to learn here for visitors of any age. Add it to your list and you can thank me later.
Good place for bit of educational fun, you might often find a school trip visit though. Best for families as most of it is geared up as learning fun (and lots of fun things to try out) for kids, maybe 5-15. Talks on the observatory telescopes too while there if that's your thing, but special telescope viewings are on seperate events
My sons love this place and so do I. lots of interactive excitements that explain physical phenomena. Large area and no crowds! Must visit!!!
Fantastic hands-on science exhibits throughout. Friendly staff. Interesting guided tours. Daily science shows. I thought my teenagers might be growing out of it, but they really loved it, gaining a deeper understanding of the science behind the hands-on exhibits than when they were smaller. Perfect for supporting home education in physics and earth sciences particularly.
Well worth a visit - lots for kids to do - very good talk by staff about Herstmonceux and the telescopes
