Good quality pub fare.
£22 for a beef roast is appalling at the best of times, but for that plate to contain only a few slices of beef, 3 potatoes, half a carrot and a teaspoon of broccoli cheese is genuinely unbelievable. Everyone on our table of 5 also agreed the beef was tough and tasted sour. When I raised this with the server he simply said “well no one else has said that. There is a lot of garlic on that beef”. Enjoyed lunch at the Oakhill Inn and was very pleased to find this hidden gem. Staff were very friendly and helpful and did everything possible to accommodate my wifes allergies. This meant we both had a very enjoyable meal. The food was all good and I can recommend this pub which is larger than it looks from outside. There is a car park but you need to look out for the signs, as it is not immediately next to the pub.
Amazing food, one of the best roast dinners I have ever had, such a cute inn with a lovely atmosphere and staff were great, if I lived closer I would go every Sunday for their roast
Food was awsome, very friendly staff. I HAD THE LAMB MY ON SUNDAY 100% BEST I HAVE HAD. Highly recommend
