We had such a warm welcome when we visited Sarah Neumann in Westchester and also the facilities in Manhattan. The staff we met were dedicated, caring and really advocated their residents. When I spoke to an elder in a small household at Sarah Neumann, she said that she fought against moving into any form of "institutional" care. She'd been living in the household for 6-months and now felt part of a close family. She'd made new friends, which she never thought possible at her age. She is happy.
