New Age Adult day program in the Bronx at 1200 Waters Place is centered around Spanish speaking patients. There is a section where only spanish speaking patients sit. They bring in snacks for their "crew" and don't share with everyone. The staff has to make all patients regardless of their race feel inclusive. You can feel the separation. The staff encourages this by speaking Spanish to them in front of English only speaking patients. I felt alone in a facility full of people.
My friends mother was recently here for almost three months and she is in worse condition then when she was admitted. The staff doesn’t help with anything, no one in the office knows anything, when you call it takes over ten minutes for someone to answer the phone. This place should be shutdown and I know that my friend is already looking into suing this horrible place.
y mom was in Pavilion 2 while I recuperated from hand surgery. Staff there is caring, kind and goes out of its way to make sure mom, who is not a permanent resident, is comfortable and that her needs are met. Mom enjoyed the varied activities, including concerts and arts programs, that encourage participation and are creatively stimulating. I would recommend this facility and am grateful to everyone involved with mom's care. Thank you, and happy and healthy New Year.
Nice place to work in my life
The New Jewish Home is continually failing to follow instructions to ensure the safety of our mom, a resident there. If they cannot maintain security and safety of residents this is of huge concern to anyone with vulnerable family at New Jewish Home which is why I am sharing. Unfortunately I have no choice but to maintain my mom-in-Law’s residence at Jewish Home but I will make others aware to look out for this while I continue to defend my family.
Cleaan your facility!!!! Reahabilate your patients. Treat people with dignity and respect. You will be hearing from me and some very important and influentail people soon.
The most disgusting experience I have ever had has been in New Jewish Home
Excellent experience at The New Jewish Home/Sarah Neuman campus. I have a family member currently on the post acute unit. Post acute staff is caring, very courteous and friendly. The therapists who treated my father in law were amazing; dedicated and attentive. The dietary staff is so friendly, they became very familiar with my father in law's preferences for breakfast, lunch and dinner; food, he describes as "excellent" ....and he is a finicky eater. The nurses are great: very nice, kind and knowledgeable. The entire team (... read more
