Therapy has been extremely helpful. When I got here I could not walk and now I can! Suzanne, Nina and Stacey from Rehab as well as Elana, Stephanie and Fay from Speech have been incredible. I would highly recommend The New Jewish Home!
I am a resident here and I got very very sick and they noticed it right away and sent me to NYU. NYU recommended that I go to St Luke's because it was closer. I was able to get help and The New Jewish Home saved my life.
The people are friendly and helpful. They take good care of patients. However, the discharge was rather sudden and was not given adequate time to prepare.
My mom was a resident at Sarah Neuman Jewish Home in Westchester from December 2015 through October 2017. The accommodations were clean, the meals were cooked very well, and if she needed special meals they always accommodated that as needed. The aids were extremely pleasant and friendly, and they took care of my mom as if she was their own mom. The nursing care was always there for her if she ever felt especially sick. Overall, I would highly recommend Sarah Neuman.
It is hard for me to express just how awful this facility is: there are long stretches of time where no one is at the nurses station watching or caring for patients, it is impossible to get anyone on the phone, when my aunt was first transferred from the hospital there was no one on the floor to greet, sign her in or complete the transfers so we (she, me and the EMT driver just waited wondering what was going on) and although my aunt is diabetic that doesn't seem to be reflected in her meal plan and worse of all no one at th... read more
Coming here to visit my father has been the worst experience. The nurse that I spoke to was very unprofessional and has no kind of work ethic I’m surprised they hired her to work at a place like this. My father spent all night with his pants full of shit and because of that he now has a rash on his bottom which hurts him being that he sits on a wheel chair to get around.
