The hallways are always a furnace and now they’ve added a rule where they return mail after a week. While this would have been semi-okay if they told us when packages were here; they don’t do that. DO NOT LIVE HERE This is a horrible place to live. The water system is suspicious at best -- it gets shut off once a month (sometimes more) for "maintenance" and comes back on disgusting and smelling funny. Shower temperatures fluctuate drastically, one minute it's piping hot the next it's freezing cold. I don't trust the water here one bit. Security is also a HUGE issue. It's almost as if this apartment building is targeted for crime -- I have friends in other apartments in the neighborhood and they don't have security issu... read more

The trash service has made adjustments to the trash pick ups but we have also switched companies. They new company should be starting soon. Worst place near JHU Definitely never worth the money. All the reviews this place has are well deserved. I though “oh it can’t be that bad”, but yes it is. The only good thing about this building is the maintenance staff. They have to be good because you will be calling them every day. Every single day something in this building breaks or stops working. Terrible All good reviewed are for 6-7 months ago , that they started putting flyers around apartment for more discounts and prize. So disappointing to see people that can lie for a little discount. This apartment is VERY bad. The only advantage they have is that they are close to Hopkins! They have horrible maintenance. Water gets turned off two or three times a month - they still charge you $18-$20 a month. Very Sticky and dirty hallways (very BAD Smells). Review of The Marylander Apartments Living in the area during and post-college has always been a struggle due to various reasons, but here at The Marylander has been a great improvement. I have been living here for 7 months and have been satisfied. You get convenience and amenities for a great price. The area is safe with lots of restaurants and stores only blocks away.
