Outstanding. Very Comfortable room.. herdy bed if you know you know!dog friendly. Excellent booking and welcome..everything you needed and luxury bathroom.. Food evening meal and breakfast 😋 excellent and very delicious .

A fantastic pub with comfy rooms in a beautiful location. Visited for a night and stayed in a dog friendly room in the Annex which was spacious and very comfortable (herdy mattress ) the pub itself was cosy with a good selection of local and well known beers and a more extensive food menu than expected. The food is excellent both for dinner and the morning breakfast. The staff are also brilliant super friendly and make you feel very welcome. Would give 6 stars if I could.

Stayed one night in January to meet some local friends and it was a great experience. The community have done an outstanding job in renewing and refurnishing the pub and everything about it was great. Everything worked, it was clean and the food and drink were oustanding. Bampton is a lovely place to stop if you're hiking and exploring the area around Haweswater. Looking forward to going back when the time is right.
