We were staying less than 8 miles from the Manor Inn, Newlands Lodges, and decided to book in for Sunday lunch. A group of 8 adults we were met with a friendly welcome as soon as we sat our drinks order was taken. Sunday lunches all round, a short wait, 15 minutes, and our piping hot lunches were served. I called in for lunch and to decide where to spend my impromptu weekend. Firstly, the cask ale was beautifully kept, and the service was top.Lunch was delicious, with an extremely flavourful and thick vegetable soup. Upon exiting, I discovered a campsite next door! I'd wanted to camp and fish the reservoir, and here was everything serendipitously on the doorstep!
