The hotel is situated bang in the middle of Cockermouth but that's about all this hotel has going for it. The room is basic, with a fold out bed, a mattress that's like a spring board and a pillow that needs folding 10x to be of any use. Breakfast was spot on but I won't be back in a rush.
Booked by chance, but had a comfortable and quiet night. The bar looked welcoming but we ate and drank in the town which from the hotel is just along the street. It's one of the best presented towns in the Lake District. Breakfast was great. Multi choice and service was great. Recommended.
