They state that "TMG is an equal housing opportunity landlord." on their website, yet they told my partner today that they will not budge on a 700+ credit score when he is just shy of that. They told him that is "for equal opportunity" but how is that equal for all when they are limiting who may be approved within reason with other positives like great income, references, and my credit score being way beyond their ****. No equal for all. They are looking for a select few people and claiming they are equal.
We have been a client of The Management Group (TMG) for approximately seven years. They have consistently found us great tenants who enjoyed our home and were very good stewards of the property. The staff members we worked with were quick to respond to our requests as well as those of our tenants. We live out-of-state so we have relied heavily on TMG to help us successfully manage the rental and maintenance/repair aspects associated with owning investment property in another state. I moved into The Trails at Salmon Creek senior community in November 2020, shortly after they opened. During my residency, I have had many contacts with Kelsey, the resident manager. just relocated here from Los Angeles. Savannah was most accommodating by getting me into my studio in less than a week. They are responsive and are located in a prime location in Sellwood. I was thinking about relocating in a year but may stay with them since the building is relatively new and the washer/dryer located in the units are so convenient. We as tenants were not properly informed when we asked about breaking our lease that we needed to provide a 30 day notice to vacate as well. We inquired about this weeks before we moved out so we could have easily done so, had we been answered our question. So we were charged another month’s rent for a place we did not live in after we moved out. I feel this could have been avoided had our new assistant manager properly informed us of their process but I’m thinking she may not have had enough experience on the job to do so. ... read more
