We booked the Links Hotel directly by phone for a last-minute long weekend break, having found the hotel via Google Maps. Our search criteria (besides availability) included an indoor swimming pool and not too far from a train station. Both of which the Links meets very well. We have been to this establishment three times with a Buy a gift afternoon tea voucher. 1st time in 2023 perfection. 2nd time in 2024, pure rudeness on the phone when booking. Then upon arrival dirty cups. 3rd time today, we decided to give benefit of the doubt but won’t be returning. Again rudeness on the phone when booking. Upon arrival we were told to take a seat. Staff at reception v rude and v unprofessional. Room okay but v basic and unbearable heat wise. Impossible to turn off heated towel rail which also heated the bedroom!!! No air con either. Probably 30 years since I've seen a TV as small as the one in the room 🤣 Shame really because you could put up with the basic facilities if only the reception team were more pleasant and professional.

A beautiful hotel with cosy rooms and really comfy beds. Really nice swimming pool. Easy to get to by rail being about a 5 min walk from the station meaning you can get to sheringham or cromer easily. The breakfast was nice. There's was only one person in the kitchen when we went meaning a que quickly built up waiting for eggs to be cooked but I like the idea of them all being freshly cooked for you and not just bulk made with hard yolks. My yolks were nice and runny. I'd definitely stay here again.
