Booked the Lemon tree last minute due to wanting a hotel within waking distance to Wrexham hospital. Found the rooms clean and specious with a good shower pressure. Having a smart tv was an add bonus. Excellent breakfast.
The staff are lovely and the restaurant is nice. The room was fine, but the attached bathroom had the scent of smelly wet socks due to a black mould problem. This could be easily improved if the owner replaced the mouldy bathroom window curtain and redid the grouting. I know it's a damp country, but it's a health issue.
So... We made a mistake with our booking and booked the wrong dates. The kind souls at the hotel said they had one room left and then helped us to find another room elsewhere. They went above and beyond to get us sorted and were incredibly understanding around our error. Hats of to the staff at the Lemon Tree. We would highly recommend it and will come back. Brilliant staff. Lovely accomodation and positive vibes.
Afternoon tea was one of the best we've had, fantastic food and prepared fresh. Highly recommend a visit here.
Didn't stay at this place but visited for an afternoon tea a week ago and what a truly amazing experience my wife and I had. Having been on several afternoon tea recently and more to come, all the experiences were great but this one stood out .
