Fabulous weekend at the Lakehouse. Would 100% recommend. In case on confusion, this is not a corporately packaged, neat and tidy 5 star luxury hotel room - the website literally tells you that. So if that’s what you are looking for then it’s maybe not for you. This is a self-catered wooden cabin set in the trees on the banks of a small private lake. What a wonderful place. Thanks Richard for making us so welcome and for showing us round on arrival. My other half treated me to a weekend away for my 50th birthday and we had an absolutely amazing time. Our two dogs loved it too. I can see why it has so many 5-star reviews. Being able to sit outside on the decking looking across the lake with a glass of gin (made and provided by Richard!) is simply bliss. We spent the weekend at the Lakehouse and what an amazing weekend we had! Such a beautiful, secluded place to relax, beautiful lake, our own little haven! Lovely accommodation with everything you need for an amazing stay! Peace and tranquility, i came home so rested and calm. Lovely host, friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble
Do not book this place. It costs an arm and a leg for what it is, and you will definitely not be refunded if you have complaints. Your money is lost! Yes, it’s lovely to sit outside and overlook the lake. That’s it. No more good to say about it. We had to move out after 2 nights. We could simply not stay there. It smells damp, it was so dirty that the owner himself had to come and clean it. The Lake House has been flooded not long time ago, and they have tried to ‘fix it’ in their own way.
