Saturday we had a steak and ale pie with home made chips and veg. What a pie! A proper pie with a base and a top, huge portion and absolutely delicious. Didn't think we could beat that but we were wrong, Returned today ,Sunday intention was to have 2 courses, not a chance. The portion was big, the lamb was melt in the mouth and the beef very tender. The staff and customers were very friendly. What a super place to visit.

Great pub
We came as two couples And three of us has the port house steak. The blue one came out frozen cold, the chips were tasteless for all, so was the steak. Asked for red sauce and didn't get any. Had to send the blue back to be cooked again... Our plates basically all looked the same as when we arrived.
