A good location for the railway station and Piece Hall. Nothing imperial or worthy of a crown. Grubby and rundown with poor service. They even have the cheek to charge a £100 holding deposit against damages 🫣. Some very creative promotional photos used online.
Rooms are a bit on the small side. No elevators. Can be difficult getting bags up stairs. Fantastic breakfast.
Location across street from train station, and next door to Piece Hall where we had a fab IL Divo concert. Hotel staff friendly, Deycon very personable, looked after us. Only issue was no elevator, so we carried our bags up 2 flights of stairs. Would stay here again.
Quite possibly the worst value for money hotel we have ever stayed in. Start at the beginning. Check in was advertised at 2pm, no turned away and told to return at 3pm. To be fair they took our luggage into safe keeping. Check in £100 deposit required! No mention of this in the advert. No lift so up the stairs we struggle. The room: Was clean. Carpet fredbear but other than that ok hotel we didn't use the service and the localon was good
