I went in for a major surgery and the experience from all nurses at every stage of my care was the best and I would highly recommend this hospital and staff.

Clear Lake Regional Emergency Department sent home a patient who has low level enzymes for liver, double vision, and can not walk on their own. First ER Dr said patient needed a plasma drip that would be a 4.5 hr procedure, then due to high patient volume and the nurses being "overwhelmed" he was discharged as medically cleared to go stand on the curb and wait for a ride. Did I mention he is a fall risk and can not stand on his own. Have called 3 times to ask why discharged and was told I was harassing them. Thanks for your ... read more

We had our daughter on August 25th 2020 and had the best experience. Every single person was so nice and helpful. I was so happy to choose such an awesome hospital. If we decide to try for another baby we would 1000000% choose HCA. Labor & Delivery was so awesome. Postpartum was absolutely the best care. To Tina- the lactation nurse who helped us and went above and beyond! She will always have a special place in our hearts for the knowledge, patience, care, and genuine kindness she showed. We even went to the lactation class... read more

Getting tested for Covid was just about the most pleasant part of my L&D stay over the weekend. L&D nurse, Lisa, was INCREDIBLE and the only nurse who seemed to have any clue how to do her job. I showed up after calling ahead, with my water broken and quick contractions and was told I needed to wait in a waiting room before they could get me a clean room. Got in to a room VERY shortly before having my baby and during my labor had a nurse get in my face and tell me I couldn’t push yet because the doctor wasn’t there. Had my s... read more

Just to start, I have always hated CLR (HCA Clear Lake) adult ER. And it's only gotten worse over time. *I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM FOR ADULT EMERGENCY CARE* As for pediatrics: Wednesday morning my daughter woke up sick. She couldn't hold anything down at all. I knew she was going to need to go get IV fluids but she didn't seem super urgent, until my husband got home and I was able to leave my other two children. All of a sudden she was breathing heavy and her heart was racing. By the time we got to the ER she was like a zombie... read more

HCA waited over a year to submit a claim to my insurance company. Of course the claim was denied because it was well past the acceptable time. So now HCA keeps sending me bills for over $600 because THEIR BILLING OFFICE screwed up. Do not get services here. At all.

I currently have a baby in the NICU. Hes been there almost 3 weeks and we are ready for him to come home. He recently started bottles, and knowing that that's his last hurdle to come home, I try to stay informed with how hes doing. I was recently told that his nurse didnt have time to give him his bottle and instead, but the whole feed through his tube. I understand that stuff happens, but at the same time, that's what he has to do to come home. I know that no one is going to care about him like him, but that got me extremel... read more

I was admitted Sunday via ambulance for dehydration and heat exhaustion. I had Blood work and a CT scan. A few hours later after rehydration, I was discharged and told everything came back normal... That was FALSE. I have a infection and a partial collapse of my left lung that was notated in the CT results. Now, I can't get anyone from your staff to give me an answer to why the hell I was discharged with a infection and a minor collapse without being notified?! Dr even said to me and my mother that everything was normal. Whe... read more
