A last minute booking which was great value for money. We had a comfortable room with a lovely sea view. The hotel is tired but full of old fashioned charm. Elaine made us feel very welcome and worked hard to ensure that the guests enjoyed their stay. Cathy the owner was very friendly and a talented pianist, we loved hearing her play. We look forward to visiting again soon.

The hotel is in an ideal position, being about 150 yards from the seafront, but in a quiet area. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Everything we needed was there. Breakfast was ok, continental unless you wanted something cooked, which we did, and the scrambled egg was very nice. While the hotel is "tired" and in need of updating, that couldn't be said about the manager, Elaine. What a delightful, friendly and helpful lady she is. Nothing was too much trouble. Fab friendly hosts .. Cathy the owner is lovely. Excellent value for money. Comfy bed and clean crisp bedding. Decor a little tired but it's a work in progress and it was clean, so no complaints whatsoever. Next time we're in Devon we will definitely book again.
