The Great Lost Bear has become a Portland institution since opening in 1979. The "Bear" is located about two miles from Portland's touristy Old Port but well worth the journey across town to the Mysterious Woodford's Area. The Great Lost Bear features an enormous eclectic menu with something for everyone: from hearty, spicy junk food to a large vegetarian selection, from steaks, salads and All American Burgers to award winning, wicked gooey desserts... all served in an entertaining atmosphere.

Food and drinks were awesome, super friendly waitress!
Wonderful food and servers were just as wonderful. I'm picky about my pork and yours was just to die for!! Loved your mac & cheese to. I will definitely visit again.

We had already been once and it was great, the food is great, everyone was friendly. This was about 5 years ago. My family of 5 went today, the kids wanted to dip their chicken fingers in ranch sauce, so they brought three sides over. A dollar each for the ranch (which should COME WITH the chicken fingers) and a condescending "well it said it on the menu" from the server. She wasn't very friendly in the first place, but this confirmed it. We won't be back spending our hard earned money there.
