The Great Lost Bear has become a Portland institution since opening in 1979. The "Bear" is located about two miles from Portland's touristy Old Port but well worth the journey across town to the Mysterious Woodford's Area. The Great Lost Bear features an enormous eclectic menu with something for everyone: from hearty, spicy junk food to a large vegetarian selection, from steaks, salads and All American Burgers to award winning, wicked gooey desserts... all served in an entertaining atmosphere.

Bar tender has an attitude, service was incredibly slow, and the food was less than mediocre. I'm in no rush to go back.

The service was beyond terrible which makes me sad because ive normally had a great experience here. Unfortunately i had a super rude and bitchy waitress who obviously was taking her bad day out on me. Both me and my boyfriends food order came out wrong and the waitress was put out by the fact that we sent it back. We waited almost 15 minutes before the waitress even made her first contact.
