All you could expect from a leading hotel. Faultless service and warmth. Falconry and Riding was a highlight, as was the chilli cheese naan in The Dormy!!!
Myself and my friend recently stayed in this wonderful hotel for the first time and we were truely impressed from the moment we arrived. Once we arrived off the train, we were greeting by a friendly driver to take us to the hotel, which had been arranged only an hour before. The reception staff were very welcoming and offered recommendations of activities we could do. As a (normally) business traveller I get to see a lot of hotels. This one is by far the best I have ever stayed in, maybe with one other in Rome coming into a similar region of service. Staff is exceptionally polite and helpful, the food is fantastic, and I have never seen a breakfast buffet like this before. The outsiders are excellent, the lawn feels like a soft mattress and is mowed more or less daily by their groundsmen - they *do* have enough experience from tending the golf courses.
