Tried to book this for our upcoming anniversary as stayed here for our wedding........ gutted to see it closed down a few months ago

One star for friendliness of the staff, but the hotel itself is absolutely dreadful, the superior quadruple room is worse than any hostel I have ever stayed in in my younger years, genuinely awful. It was dirty, grubby, the bathroom smelled of urine, had human hair all over it, floor wasn't cleaned...enough said when the kids would rather go downstairs to use the hotel toilets than the bathroom in our room.
Booked a 3 day stay for a wedding in gretna green. Got a booking confirmation and a message from the property on Expedia. However when I showed up to check in, no one was there and no one was answering the phone. Left me stranded as everywhere was booked up
